Integrated Solid Waste Management

To address the pressing issue of ever growing urban waste, Jindal ITF offers scientific municipal solid waste management. The overall objective of the project is to improve the situation of municipal solid waste (MSW), protect the environment & public health and at the same time enhance the aesthetics within the city by taking appropriate measures over the entire chain of solid waste movement from generation at household/commercial/institutional levels to door to door collection/primary collection, storage, transportation, treatment and its eventual safe disposal. This management of MSW goes a long way in reducing pressure on the prime land which comes under use as the dumping ground for solid waste.

To its credit Jindal Ecopolis has set up India’s first large scale commercial Waste to Energy facility at Okhla Timarpur , New Delhi. The facility processes municipal solid waste and generates clean and renewable energy.

JITF Ecopolis is a step towards sustainable development in creating livable cities. It is indeed a scientific environment   friendly and state-of-the-art solution to municipal solid waste, scarcity of land and power problems faced by urban India. It is    a  step towards Swachh Bharat Mission of Government of India.

JITF Ecopolis is also working under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode for establishment, operation & maintenance of an integrated waste management (waste to energy) plant with :

Andhra Pradesh Government with three projects at Vishakapatnam, Guntur with Vijaywada and Tirupati including their cluster Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

Rajasthan Government with two projects at Jaipur & Jodhpur cities including their cluster Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

Gujarat Government with one project at Ahemdabad.
